The clutch on my new JD4310 with the ePowerReverser stop working. The tractor had only 9 hours on it. The dealer picked up serveral days ago and is still trying to find the problem. Has any one else had this problem?

YIKES!!! I would think the dealer should be a little faster than that. They're not working on the large ag equipment with yours parked in a corner, are they?
Go build a fire under their feet. Tell em your want a demo until they get yours fixed. Reach over the counter get em by the neck drag them up close nose to nose and explain the facts of life, like maybe you know some postal workers...YIKES guess I better tone it down a little...

The dealer said their was to much hydraulic fluid in the tractor and drained about 1 ½ gallons. This solved the clutch problem however, the tractor is still having problems engaging between gears, especially 2nd gear. ....

I have a vague recollection that I've heard of this problem before and it has to do with wet clutches. I think there was some discussion and maybe here, but I'm not sure which JD models were involved. I don't recall if there were any resolutions. There may have been something about oil viscosity and I seem to recall something unusual about the angle the tractor was on. Hope I'm not starting a wild goose chase here but I'm pretty sure something like this was discussed. ....

The dealer just picked up the tractor for the third time. Now the problem is getting the tractor in neutral to start it. When it does start, it will only move in 1st gear. ....

Since the dealer's got it, I won't try to second-guess the problem. It'd be interesting to hear what the dealer comes up with though.
A 1.5 gallon overfill seems pretty huge for a tractor that size. I'm not sure that even topping up the reservoir with all the hydraulics fully extended and then checking it when all cylinders were retracted would produce that much over-fill unless one of the hydraulics was a big log-splitter or something. It might be good to think through how that much oil got there.

It all sounds a bit strange to me. All I can say is here we go again. Deere didn't fix the 4000 series problems by adding a 10 to the model number.
Maybe they should just import the whole line from Japan. The 4100, 4010, and 4115's just do not have the problems their US assembled counterparts have. ....
